It was the last tour stop in Switzerland. I was ill: I had fiver, cough and a sprained thumb. The weather was a kind of …good, but it was getting worse and worse. The day didn't begin too well then!!!
My coach was Andri Ambühl, I knew him already and I was happy to ski with him and to learn tips from him. We warmed up and went in the park. I became skeptical as we had only five runs in the morning before we went eating.
3 jumps then began the qualification run in which all coaches together judge all riders. I had to take a little risk: I made for the first time today a switch 720 over the second kicker, so I came into the finals. We four finalists could only dispose of one run to convince the judges who could participate at the national finals and eventually win a journey to Mammoth. I was third. My friend Jonas Hunziker won the national final and so the trip to Mammoth. I was very happy for him.
Nordica had a good day because Jonas won the super-final and I was third in the final. This contest was very cool and so I can end the contest season 08/09 with a clear conscience. Too bad it's already finished!!!
