After Saas Fee we had vacation, finally a whole week on the skis!

I had holydays, but unfortunately only one week! We settled that Till could stay a whole week at ours. We hoped for the best with the weather, but it was sunny only on Wednesday and Saturday. We jumped over the kickers; otherwise we practiced on the boxes. On the last day of vacation we had a contest: the Surselva Jam in Waltensburg.
In the morning the landings were still very hard and the box fell apart. As the training ended and it started seriously the landings softened. I brought all runs cleanly down. After the two qualification runs I had the highest score of the day and I leaded under the rookies.
The finals were with k.o.–system, that means two riders compete against each other, and the one who looses is out. Just Till and I were in the big final (1st -2nd place). He showed his brilliant run and stood everything. Me too, but he had more style. Nevertheless I was glad about my second place. I made more of an effort and enjoyed the day.
Till had now to go back home. I'd really preferred to spend another week together with him; after all I could profit and learn a lot from him. He gave me the kick I needed. Thanks Till!
