April 18th and 19th 2008 in Saas Fee (Switzerland) a great event with the 5 best young riders from Switzerland, France, England, Norway and Sweden.

As I always look forward to every contest, I was over the moon because I could participate at the European Final of Salomon. All the lads who were in Saas Fee have been invited by Salomon like me. After the long and boring travel we could finally go in our hotel rooms. I shared my room with Till Matti and Yves Müller. I knew them already well because I met them at different contests during the season.
Till was already seeded, that meant he can fly with the Salomon team to Mammoth (USA) and ski a week long with the world best riders in May. That was also my goal and that's why we went early to bed even if we talked a little wile together. We got up quite early in the morning and had breakfast all together. We were already on the way to the cable railroad, as Till realized that he forgot his gloves and his helmet in the hotel room. He forgot even his ski jacket at home!
Nevertheless we worked it to get on time on the top of the mountain. We had an hour time to warm up and get used to the slope. Thereafter we had to runs each in which I had to show me best to win the trip to the USA. I was very pride because I was placed fifth. But I was also a little bit disappointed because it was the last time skiing for this season. Unfortunately I didn't win the flight to the USA as well, but the competition was tough.
At the end of the day we went back to the hotel to watch the pictures that have been shot during the day. Now it was time to say good bye to everybody. I'd really preferred to stay there for days, weeks, months or even years.
I won't ever in my life forget these two special days. I really have to thank my parents who always ride me to these contests.
